Senior Kyleah McKnight has wanted to own and operate her own bakery since middle school. The daughter of Erica Ehlert and Kevin McKnight applied at the high school for Youth Apprenticeship in Hospitality and Tourism. Kyleah has taken courses at the high school in her career pathway, is involved in FBLA, manages the new school store, is the Green County Dairy Queen, and has been involved in 4H. Kyleah learns technical bakery skills from mentor, Angela Neff and the staff at the New Glarus Bakery. She works in this paid position 10-15 hours per week while earning school credits. Kyleah has been accepted at Madison College in Business Management and is on the waiting list for Bakery Arts.
