Computer Integrated Manufacturing

The Project Lead the Way (PLTW) Computer Integrated Manufacturing course is designing, documenting, constructing, and programming transfer systems. These transfer systems simulate, on a much smaller scale, an assembly line. In addition to the design process, students must calculate the cost of materials, labor, and equipment usage. Four teams are working on accomplishing this goal, and they compete to build the assembly line that is the fatest and the most efficient (cost) system. These are the types of skills taught in PLTW that can easily transfer to the workforce! [Submitted by Mr. Neumann]
