Fourteen middle school student qualifiers (five 7th graders and nine 8th graders) participated in Belleville Middle School's 2017 Spelling Bee this morning (1-24). After more than 10 rounds, Cole Monroe won the competition by correctly spelling the championship word. He will represent Belleville at the regional spelling bee in Stoughton. Christian Hakala was our runner-up.
Thank you to Mrs. Schween for pronouncing the words, Mrs. Schultz for moderating, Mrs. Miller and Mrs. Norton for judging, and Mrs. Maas and Mr. Blasdel for the set-up! Thank you as well to the students who were terrific audience members!
