The School District of Belleville hosted its first public open house of the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (S.T.E.M.) remodel and addition on Friday, October 13, in conjunction with the home football game versus Marshall. Contractors, parents, students, and community members stopped by to see the space and the new equipment, including a CNC plasma cutter, CNC router, and laser engravers. Students Hayden Askey, Jack Gentilli, Julia McNamar, and Noah Niesen were able the show the visitors their newly acquired skills that they have developed already this school year. Thank you to Project Lead the Way master teacher Ed Neumann for the hundreds of hours of time that he has put into the planning of the facility, machinery, and curriculum to truly provide a 21st century and college & career ready education to the students of Belleville!
