In its first year in existence, the Belleville Middle School Science Olympiad Team competed in just its second competition on Saturday and its first away meet. Coach Smith and her team traveled to Boyceville for the Middle School Regional Tournament.
The team medaled in 4 of 22 events, placing 11th out of 18 competing teams (and 12th out 28 teams overall, including exhibition teams).
Medaling at Boyceville were:
Annika Esselstrom and Lizzie Lloyd: 3rd in Meteorology
Isaac Erb and Isaac Russow: 4th in Circuit Lab
Tony Diaz and Holly Flick: 4th in Herpetology
Josh Kean and Lexi Radl: 4th in Mystery Architecture
With more experience and practice, it won't long before these students achieve the success of the high school team!
