STEAM Open House & EDD Presentations

On Wednesday night, May 1, Project Lead the Way (PLTW) Coordinator and Technology Education Teacher Ed Neumann hosted a STEAM (Science-Technology-Engineering-Math) Open House in the renovated and expanded space. This was followed by year-end presentations in the auditorium by students in the PLTW Engineering Design and Development. These students identify a problem, propose a solution through a detailed process, and then build or create it. Mr. Neuman had approximately 50-60 visitors to the open house, including three board members and about a dozen students showing off projects from the 3D printers, laser engraver, and CNC router. A parent and alumnus commented on how education has changed and how lucky our students are to have the opportunity for these experiences!
