Teachers and administrators could access Advanced Placement test scores on July 5. Students in Wisconsin then learned of their scores on July 9. Recently designated as a Level 2 Pacesetter School by the Wisconsin Advanced Placement Advisory Council (WAPAC), students at Belleville High School once again achieved remarkable results! These accomplishments include:
- All 17 students taking the AP Calculus AB and BC exams earned qualifying scores. Mr. Cryderman stated, "I had talked to this group about the opportunity to have a 100% pass rate. They had no real weak spots. However, I didn't think it would actually happen!"
- All 12 students taking the AP U.S. History exam also earned qualifying scores. Mr. Hodgson remarked, "I'm really proud of the APUSH kids. We had six weather days and ACT prep, and they really came through, given the circumstances."
- AP Environmental Science scores and AP U.S. Government and Politics scores were both 30% above the national average for 2019.
- The 92% passing rate for the AP Psychology exam was the highest rate in school history.
For the first time, the College Board also released average scores and passing rates from the state. As with most standardized tests, Wisconsin typically scores higher than the national average. Comparing Belleville against the state creates a more rigorous standard. Even by these measures, Belleville High School's achievement shone through clearly, regularly topping the state average by at least 20%.
