P.A.R.T.Y.

Mrs. Tretow's freshmen Health classes traveled to Monroe High School this morning to be a part of the Prevent Alcohol and Risk-related Trauma in Youth (P.A.R.T.Y.) presentation. Belleville 9th graders joined 13 other school districts from southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois in the event sponsored by the Monroe Clinic. P.A.R.T.Y. combines dramatizations along with personal stories in a clear message against drinking and distracted driving. Green County students, medical personnel, law enforcement officers, EMS, and firefighters, along with the judge and coroner, coordinated numerous scenes and narratives that made an impression on the students in attendance.

Students left with a "promise" key and life contract to avoid these situations and call a parent, sibling, or friend for a ride. This event pairs well with our own Mock Crash, held at Belleville High School every three years.
