Ninth grade students in Mrs. Alsteens's class were focused on vocabulary work from The Odyssey today. They utilized a method called Vocabulary Squares. The method comes from Robert Marzano's book Vocabulary for the Common Core. Students created squares for each word. Each quarter helps them understand the word better. These were put in their learning logs for future study.
