Sectional Champs!

The Sugar River Raiders Girls Soccer Team defeated Edgewood 1-0 in the sectional final on Saturday evening at Mount Horeb and have earned a trip to the state tournament for the second time in three years. Belleville senior Sam Trainor scored on a corner kick for the only goal of the game. Congratulations to Coach Ziperski and the Raiders! They will play Friday evening at Uihlein Soccer Park in Milwaukee.

Senior Trip

On Wednesday, June 6, the Class of 2018 took their senior trip to Devil's Lake State Park in Baraboo. Thank you to Mr. Benash, Mrs. Knudson, Mrs. Norton, and Mrs. Smith for chaperoning. Although the weather was not ideal, the trip gave them one last opportunity to bond as a class before their last day of school on June 7 and the graduation ceremony on June 10.

All-Conference Baseball Selections

On Tuesday, June 5, the Capitol Conference released their all-conference selections for this spring's season. Derek Baumgartner (Pitcher), Drew Shrader (Infielder), Jaydon Winkers (Outfielder), and Jackson Richter (Outfielder) were named to the South Division's 2nd Team. Austin Fahey (Infielder) and Dylan Gratz (Outfielder) were named Honorable Mention. Congratulations to these Wildcat ballplayers!

8th Grade Trip to Yellowstone Lake State Park

Eighth grade students travelled to Yellowstone Lake State Park in Blanchardville for their class trip on Tuesday, June 5.  Students spent the morning participating in team-building, cooperative games.  In the afternoon, they fished, swam, and hiked.  Thank you to Connor and Mitchell DeLorme for serving as lifeguards for our students.  The weather was about as good as it could be.  We hope that the Class of 2022 built some memories on this trip!

Final Middle School Students-of-the-Month

On Friday, June 1, Belleville Middle School teachers celebrated their last round of Students-of-the-Month for the 2017-18 school year. Students were recognized in the commons by their nominating teachers with a brief speech and a certificate. Students also received Catty Shack (school store) bucks and a 3-D printed Wildcat paw from Mrs. Swenson. Congratulations to these Wildcats who have finished the year strong!

Softball Awards

The BHS softball team held its awards banquet on Thursday (5-31) night.

Cassidy Heller was named to First Team All-Conference. Ella Campbell, Bailey Legler, and Jillian Michaels were named Second Team All-Conference. 

The team awards went to:

• Cassidy Heller - MVP and Highest Batting Average
• Ella Campbell - Miss Hustle
• Kori Rogers - Golden Glove
• Jenna Shrader - Most Improved
