Graduation Photos

Lifetouch Photography recently sent photos from the June 7th graduation ceremony to the high school. The photographer noted that "this was one of the most respectful ceremonies that I have ever seen...and I've been to a lot of them." Congratulations to the seniors, and thank to all those who helped make it a memorable day!

New School Store

The student-run Catty Shack that started this past school year is getting a new home. Construction on a new location at the Middle and High School main entrance will be completed over the summer, and the store will be open to start the 2015-16 school year. With Mr. Farrar's guidance, we hope to employ a student manager as part of the Youth Options program. The store should also be open during nighttime events at the school next year.

Congratulations to Our Retirees

The middle and high school staff celebrated the retirements of Janet Olson (30 years at BHS, Secretary), Gary DeLorme (13 years at BHS, Math), and Michelle Sparks (18 years at BHS, English). on Friday, June 5. They had already been recognized by the BEA and school district. We will miss their contributions to the school and their work with the students of Belleville. Thank you for sharing your talents with us!

Graduation and Promotion

Our final day of school on Friday, June 5, was eventful. Our middle school staff honored the 7th and 8th graders in a program held in the auditorium at 8:30am. The photo below shows Eva Michielson and Anna Nolden being honored for their academic achievement.
A short while later, the high school celebrated its seniors in its own awards program. Parents and other family members joined the student body in honoring our scholarship winners. The Class of 2015 invites you to join them in the high school gym on Sunday, June 7, at 1pm for their commencement ceremony.

Senior Trip

On Thursday, June 4, the senior class took their trip to Devil's Lake State Park. Along with parent chaperones and Mr. Farrar, Mrs. Krueger, and Mrs. Smith, the Class of 2015 spent the day together. They swam, hiked, played volleyball and football, ate (a lot), and signed yearbooks. It was a great way from them to bond (perhaps one last time) as group.

Improv Night

On Monday night, June 1, the Improv Club put on their 1st Annual Improv Night in the high school auditorium at 7:30pm. This was a follow-up to their appearance at Fine Arts Night. The club has met all year on Monday mornings to practice and experiment. Eight performers took part in the event in front of a strong crowd of students, alumni, parents, and staff. The performances included audience participation to frame certain scenes and guide what the actors did and said on stage. As you can see by the scene below, the crowd enjoyed themselves and laughed a lot.
