DECA is busy!

This past weekend the Belleville DECA Board (Treise Langhammer, Kenzi O'Connor, Katie Stussey, Ella Campbell, and Issac Brummel) along with Mr. Farrar traveled to the Wilderness Resort in the Wisconsin Dells for DECA's Emerging Leadership Conference (ELC).  The experience started on the bus ride to the conference.  Sharing the bus to the Dells with the Oregon DECA students, both groups of students were able to network and share the unique things about each chapter.  When arriving at the conference,  we were greeted by a sea of DECA students.  Throughout the weekend, we were welcomed by guest speakers and attended multiple break-out sessions.  Wrapping up the conference, we were able to take back with us many ideas for the future.  We look forward to bringing many more students with us next year.  The ELC was a great way to start our year in DECA, and we can't wait to start expanding our chapter with more students, opportunities, and fundraising.  According to Belleville DECA Chapter President, "It was an amazing experience"

On Saturday, November 5, 2016, the Belleville DECA chapter boarded a bus to Chicago to experience the wonders of the Magnificent Mile.  The students were able to witness the electric atmosphere following the Cubs' World Series victory.  The students also were able to see many of the stores changing over to incorporate more of a holiday theme.  Overall, the students had a great time and made a few purchases along the way.
