Thursday, January 7, the Middle School Forensics Team will travel to Willow Brook Middle School for the first meet. The bus will leave at 2:30pm and will return around 8:30pm. Team members will call or text parents on the way home. The Level 1 meet will be held at St. Dennis in Madison on Thursday, January 21, and the Level 2 will be held here at Belleville Middle School on Thursday, February 4.
Parents are welcome and encouraged to attend the meets. Each meet will consist of three rounds. Rounds will start on the hour, usually, with the first round starting at 4:00pm. Students and spectators must be in the round before the start of the round and will not be able to leave the room until the round is over. When the round is over, the judge will release the teams and spectators for a break before the next round. Team members will not know how they performed until the end of the night. The coaches will collect the written comments and ballots at the end of the evening and share with the team members.
Between rounds, concessions will be available to purchase for both team members and spectators. Team members may also choose to pack a sack dinner if they choose not to purchase food.
