Ag Students Visit 3rd Grade Classrooms

Fourteen Belleville FFA members spent some time in the 3rd grade classrooms today for FFA week. The high schoolers helped the 3rd graders make chapstick. The ingredients were beeswax and soybean oil, so the FFA members taught about where those products come from. They also discussed the purpose of wax not only for our lips, but on the feathers of ducks and plants. The students also played an agriculture Jeopardy game where they learned some new terms and discussed what FFA and agriculture are really all about! The FFA members had fun interacting with the younger kids today and promoting agriculture! [Submitted by Mrs. Knudson]
